오랜만에 두아 리파(Dua Lipa)가 캘빈 해리스(Calvin Harris)와 함께 싱글을 발표했다.

 

여기에 영 서그(Young Thug)까지 합세한 곡인데 굉장히 의미가 있다.

 

 

과거 캘빈 해리스의 앨범에 Young Thug가 피쳐링한 Heatstorke라는 곡이 있었다.

물론 이 곡은 아리아나 그란데(Ariana Grande)와 퍼렐 윌리엄스(Pharrell Williams)가 참여해서 Young Thug이 크게 부각되지 못한 점이 있지만, Young Thug은 여름에 맞는 밝은 목소리의 래핑을 충분히 들려주었다.

 

 

 

그 후에 발매된 싱글인 One Kiss라는 곡은 Dua Lipa가 피쳐링한 곡이었다.

 

그러니까, 과거에 캘빈해리스 앨범에 따로따로 싱어로 참여했던 Dua Lipa와 Young Thug이 이번에 함께 호흡을 맞추게 된 것이다.

 

그래서 이 둘의 조합으로 나온 싱글이라는 것만 보고, 과연 잘 어울릴까? 라는 생각을 잠시 했었는데,

역시 그건 기우에 불과했다.

Potion은 한 번 마실 만큼의 물약(혹은 독약) 마법스러운 물약이나 묘약이란 뜻을 가지고 있다.

뮤비를 보면 알겠지만, 묘하고 몽환적인 분위기가 마치 묘약을 마신 듯한 느낌을 표현하고 있다.
